Katie Robey, MSW, ASW
Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker
Adults, Families, Parents, Teens
Katie is a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker and is supervised by Dr. Thomas Lucking. Katie partners with her clients to take a strength and client-centered approach. She is a trauma therapist who specializes in working with women who are victims of physical and/or mental abuse. She also specializes in women’s empowerment, school issues, ADHD, depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+, transitional-aged youth, low self-esteem, and foster teens.
Katie utilizes a trauma-informed approach as the foundation for all of her therapy work. She uses a holistic lens and works on identifying personal, environmental, and cultural factors that impact mental health to assist individuals in reaching their goals and improving their quality of life. Katie believes that a caring and nonjudgmental environment is the best space to grow and heal from trauma. She has worked in a variety of settings including working with children, families, adults, neurodivergent individuals, immigrants and refugees, and in the foster care system. She has worked extensively on new and innovative approaches to helping individuals who are struggling with intimate partner violence and emotionally abusive partnerships.
Katie understands the struggles that come with experiencing significant trauma. She also understands the difficulty of navigating the world as a neurodivergent individual and the importance of community support and building healthy relationships. She understands the importance of cultural humility and has strong family connections to the Muslim population. Katie’s goal is to help her clients feel seen, heard, and validated. She hopes her work can empower clients to be their most authentic and confident selves.
