Simardeep (Simi) Bhaurla is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and is under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Lucking. Simi’s approach to therapy is solution-focused and strengths-based with an emphasis on being client-centered. She has experience working in several clinical settings including residential care, school-based settings, and outpatient settings.

Simi has experience working with children and adults in different types of settings. She has worked with children in school-settings to be able provide in classroom support to children with mental health struggles. Simi continues to work with adults who have endured trauma and abuse (physical, sexual, verbal, and emotional abuse, substance use, and severe and persistent mental illness. She specializes in Autism, anxiety, depression, Bipolar I and Bipolar II Disorder, personality disorders, Schizophrenia and other related psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders and racial trauma and oppression.

Simi is a mixed race female who is also a first generation graduate from a Master’s program. As a woman of color, she has endured different types of discrimination throughout her life in which she uses those challenges to empower her clients. She uses her own life experiences to validate clients in their own struggles and help them find their voice.
