Vickya Leslie, PhD Candidate
Life Coach
Young Adults, Couples, Families, Teens, Children, LGBTQ, POC
Vickya is a PhD student at Saybrook University studying Clinical Psychology. She is studying to become a licensed clinical psychologist for teenagers and young adults with severe mental health disorders who are struggling with trauma. She is also a certified CBT Life Coach trained by Transformation Academy. Having worked as a school counselor, teacher, and applied behavior analysis therapist (ABA) in the past, Vickya has ample experience working with teens and young adults.
She is also a part of the LGBTQ community and takes pride in empowering queer folks to embrace their identity. She recognizes how hard it can be for individuals to navigate the changes that occur while coming out and wants to help them with that difficult life transition. Vickya uses a humanistic approach when working with clients. She believes that her clients should have autonomy when making decisions and works with clients collaboratively to guide them through their decision-making process. As a mindset coach (CBT), her aim is to help clients get rid of negative self-talk so that they can successfully reach their goals.
